This release also contains several minor bug fixes and performance improvements.
- A bug causing audio to take a long time to start playing on some devices has been resolved.
- A bug preventing audio download on some devices has been resolved.Note: You might get asked for additional permissions after the update to allow us to store media on your device. RNZ's app will only use its permission to access the SD card to store media files required for playback.- Improvements have been made to reliability of live audio streaming which eliminate buffering issues experienced by some users (faster detection of connection speed to select appropriate bitrate).
- A bug causing Huawei P8 lite devices to crash has been resolved- Audio now keeps playing via Bluetooth when headphones are plugged in- A bug causing audio to restart from the beginning when paused and restarted has been resolved- MyRNZ playlist now displays after 1000+ items are added- Improvements have been made to audio streaming- Automatic skip back time reduced when restarting audio after pausing or stopping- Miscellaneous other bug fixes and improvements
